Shardvolt is a free browser games site. Every game runs in the page with nothing to download, and the catalog is a mix of games built in-house and games published by independent developers.
The house games, including the idle game Deepcore, the rhythm duel, the survival game Nightshift and the two racers, are written for the site. Many started as ideas from players in the comments on our videos, and each game page says so when that is true. The site is run by one person, who plays and tests the games before they ship.
Developers who publish a game keep 40% of the ad revenue it earns. The split is enforced in the code that records playtime, not left to a spreadsheet, and games only earn from sessions where ads are actually shown.
An uploaded game is not visible until a person has opened it and played it. The rules for what is allowed are on the content standards page, and every game has a report button that does not need an account.
An account lets you post scores, save progress in games that support it, and unlock cosmetics. There are no purchases: Shards are earned by playing. Details are in the privacy policy.
