This page exists so you can decide about Shardvolt without having to click through the whole site. If something here is not enough to make a decision, email support@shardvolt.com and a person will answer.
Shardvolt is a browser games site. It is entertainment, not an educational tool, and we are not going to pretend otherwise to get through a filter. If your policy is to block games during the school day, this site is squarely in that category and you should block it.
What this page is for is the schools that allow some games — at lunch, on a free period, in a club — and need to know whether this particular one is safe to allow. That is a fair question and the answers are below.
Published games run inside a sandboxed iframe. A game cannot read your cookies, cannot see the player's account, and cannot navigate the page somewhere else. It can report a score and ask whether ads loaded; that is the whole interface.
A game cannot reach any other website. Game content is served under a Content-Security-Policy that permits scripts, images, media, fonts and network connections only from shardvolt.com. A game cannot load code from a CDN, call out to another server, or embed another site in a frame — the browser refuses. This is enforced by the browser, not by our review: it means a game cannot change what it does after it has been approved, and it means this site cannot be used to reach anything that is otherwise blocked on your network.
The site is served entirely from one domain. To permit it you would allow:
There are no other third-party hosts, no trackers beyond AdSense, no analytics provider, no CDN under a different name, and no websocket or non-standard port.
That is a reasonable call and we would rather you block the real site than an uncategorised unknown. If your filter currently has shardvolt.com as "uncategorised", we would genuinely prefer it rated accurately as a games site, whichever way that makes your filter behave.
If a student finds something on Shardvolt that breaks our standards, the report button on every game page works without an account. If you would rather raise it directly, email support@shardvolt.com and include the game name. We will take it down while we look.
