Shards drift across the dark; click them before they slip away. The small fast ones pay the most, chaining hits builds a multiplier, and the dead-black void shards cost you for clicking without looking. Sixty seconds. Inspired by a suggestion from miriofi.

Shards drift across the screen for sixty seconds and you click them before they slip away. Small fast ones pay more, and the black void shards cost you if you click them.
One mode: a sixty second round. A new shard drifts in from a random edge every few tenths of a second, and the pace picks up as the clock runs down.
Click or tap a shard. That is all of it: the whole game is the pointer.
A small shard pays about 45 points and a large one about 18, so size matters. Gold prisms are worth 150. Hits in a row build a multiplier that goes up every five hits to a maximum of five times. A dark void shard takes 60 points off and resets the chain, and so does clicking empty space.
The multiplier is the score. A long clean chain at times five is worth more than twice as many scattered hits, so protect it: never click on empty space and never click a void shard, even when the screen is busy.
Go for the small, fast shards first while the screen is quiet, then take the large slow ones as you wait for the next small one. Prisms are rare and worth stopping for. If a void shard is in the way, wait a moment: everything drifts across and out of the way.
Collect the Shards started as a suggestion from a viewer, miriofi. It is short on purpose: a round is a minute, so it is quick to try again.
Playtime only counts while you are actively playing: a hidden or idle tab earns nothing.
