A top-down circuit racer with three ways to play: a three-lap race against the pack, a solo time trial against the clock, and elimination, where last place drops out every lap. Win one and the Shards are on the house. Inspired by a suggestion from miriofi.

A top-down circuit racer with a three-lap race, a solo time trial and an elimination mode where last place drops out each lap.
Race: three laps against three CPU rivals. Time trial: two laps on an empty track against the clock. Elimination: the car in last place drops out at the end of each lap.
Arrows or W A S D to steer and brake, Space to drift. On a phone, hold the left or right side of the screen to steer; the throttle is automatic, and holding both sides drifts.
In a race you are ranked by finishing place, and winning one pays out Shards. In the time trial the number to beat is your own lap time. In elimination the only aim is never to be last when a lap ends.
On the straights, tuck in behind another car to get its slipstream and pull alongside before the corner. Brake before the corner rather than in it: a late brake pushes you wide and loses more than it saves.
Use the time trial to learn a circuit with nobody in the way, then take that line into the race. In elimination, stay in the middle of the pack for the first laps and save your attack for the last one.
Slipstream was suggested by a viewer, miriofi. The bots are tuned to drive the circuits cleanly but to make mistakes under pressure, so the race is winnable.
Playtime only counts while you are actively playing: a hidden or idle tab earns nothing.
